I welcome you to my site. I hope you find it interesting. I like to talk most about my birds, but sometimes Judaism, sometimes just life. I live on a land called "Brocken" and own the Aviary At Brocken. I breed canaries and finches. I started the 2008 Canary breeding Season out early with the hatching of Hatikvah, my first chick, January 10th or thereabouts. Almost all my birds have good strong Jewish names, it is a way I express my Jewish identity as a canary and finch breeder. I am living with my Long Time companion and our life in the woods in SW Washington is really pleasant. We have a herd of pugs besides the birds which are hers and she is involved in pug rescue.

For me the birds are starting to lay eggs so that means babies. I have another hen due tomorrow and then another friday.

Hi,how are your canaries doing? One of my hens hatched 4 out of 5 eggs unbelievable with how the cage wiggled at times.
The hen was a red factor and the male had cinnamon.
I have to keep an eye on her but I will say those babies make enough noise.
One of them may have been from the 5th egg so I have to keep a close eye on that nest.
Don't want any deaths.
But she seems to be doing her job.
